Concrete poetry is a form of poetry in which the meaning or effect is conveyed partly or wholly by visual means, using patterns of words, letters and other typographical devices.
In this case the art isn't focused on the typeface or font used; it is focused on the theme of the picture and the words. I feel typography can be used in this way to create a visual message using metaphorical and literal themes.
I propose an idea. I want to make an artist book using different printing techniques, with the theme of our worlds problems. I aim to talk about Brexit, Donald Trump, Race, Sexuality and immigration. I want it to be a small book, of about A6, to resemble how we don't really notice these problems and how they can be brushed aside. The smallness of the book will make the viewer really have to look to see and read the message and the image.
