Alodia Gosiengfiao just released her most personal social media post yet. The cosplayer, TV presenter, and social media influencer posted on February 16, 2018 a moving video blog titled “My Deepest Confession.”
In the vlog, Alodia shares her deepest feelings and fears. “It is very difficult for me, to express myself through words, which is why I rarely talk,” she began. “I’ve always kept to myself. I’ve always hidden behind a mask. This is how I’ve lived my life for the longest time.”
She adds that while she is “genuinely happy” with what she does, and knows she is blessed “to have been given opportunities” that she could never have imagined, there were times she felt like a “doll” or a “robot.” She reveals that sometimes she couldn’t distinguish fantasy from reality. “Time flew so fast,” she said, and she found herself, “caught up in [her] own world.”
The essence of the video lies in her next message, a sweet one for her boyfriend, fellow social media influencer, Wil Dasovich. On February 13, a day before Valentine’s Day, and after much speculation, Wil finally admitted that he and Alodia are indeed a couple on his YouTube account.
“Last year, my life [has] changed, since I met you,” Alodia confessed. “You showed me a different aspect of life. You showed me the world wasn’t so scary after all. You showed me how to value simple joys. My time spent together doing our thing is something. You inspired me to be better. I never thought life could be like this, simple yet wonderful, magical even. No need for grand things. Your mere presence was more than enough.”
She said that while there were challenges along the way—the most difficult of which was Wil’s battle with cancer—she fought hard because of him.
“Honestly, I was afraid,” she admitted. “But you gave me strength because for once in my life, you showed me something real. And every day, this is what I fight for.”
“You taught me how to feel. You showed me that true love is not just a dream. I never thought that in my life I would find something like this. You are the best thing that [has] ever happened to me. And you are the one who made the greatest impact on my life, and I thank you for that. You taught me how to live. You made me human.”
Alodia ends the video by assuring Wil of her love and commitment: “I admire you for everything you’ve done. And for everything you are. Always know that you will forever have my support, as well as my heart. This is just the beginning.”
