En frente puedes ver el dibujo realizado por los indios taino para representar el coquí. El coquí es la rana muy pequeña y es la más común en Puerto Rico, su cantar es muy particular. En la imagen el coquí esta sobre una cama de hojas. El color dorado del coquí es en honor al COQUI DORADO, el cual se encuentra en el área de Cayey, el pueblo donde crecí.
Al reverso de la moneda observas la silueta de la garita del Fuerte del Morro sobre la silueta de la isla de Puerto Rico, con los apodos de mi esposo y el mío
In front you can see the drawing made by the Taino Indians to represent the coqui. The coqui is the very small frog and is the most common in Puerto Rico. Its singing is very particular. In the image the coqui is on a bed of leaves. The golden color of the coqui is in honor of the golden coqui, which is found around Cayey, the town where he grew up.
On the back of the coin, you can see the silhouette of the Fort Morro sentry box on the silhouette of the island of Puerto Rico, with my husband's nickname and mine.
